We all met in some form or another, either directly or indirectly, through our connections to Holden Village.
Holden is an incubator for artists and idealists. It's a place where cultural norms in a consumer-driven society don't appear to carry the same weight. At Holden, one doesn't have to have a lot of money, drive fast cars, own a big house or lug around the latest and greatest material possessions to be considered successful. At Holden, many folks value simple living and good conversation. And a good many of us harbor a concern for social justice issues and aspire toward peaceful, non-violent living.
