Most recently he worked for a human resources consulting firm designing reports, editing proposals, programming in excel (of all things) and doing occasional web work. From September of 2002 to August of 2003, Jeshua worked for Rev. Jim Wallis as an intern at Sojourners and Call to Renewal. Wallis is the recent author of the NYT bestselling book, "God's Politics: Why the Right has it Wrong and the Left Doesn't Get it."
In the summer of 2004 he recorded Swords into Plowshares with two other musician friends from Holden Village. (Holden Village is an ecumenical retreat center in the North Cascades of Washington state. Jeshua has lived and worked there on and off since graduating from Luther College in 1998.)
Much has happened in the last few years to slowly transform Jeshua into a less vagabond-like individual. He's married now and lives with his wife in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He continues to write music and commentary on politics and religion (among other things). And daily he considers what it means to follow Jesus in a modern, consumer-driven society.
Jeshua believes there's a good chance that the Bible is God's infallible Word, but that people often see the Bible with fallible eyes. It is for this very reason that he believes using scripture to condemn others is a rather dangerous practice.
Finally, Jeshua is ever wondering what God wants him to do with his life. But he
guesses this is just the sort of question most people face, so he's not
entirely overwhelmed with uncertainty or worry about tomorrow brings.
He remains hopeful that God's plan is at work in the world and in his
own life.
